EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITIES

Applications are being accepted for existing vacancies and to establish a pool of qualified candidates for positions with Riverside-San Bernardino County Indian Health, INC. (RSBCIHI). Applications will be accepted by the Human Resources Department at any time and will be retained for a period not to exceed (1) calendar year from date of receipt. Appropriate testing for skill requirements may be given. A pre-employment physical exam, which includes drug and alcohol testing, is required. In addition, you are required to submit a copy of your Driver’s License along with your application for employment, if needed.

Preference in filling vacancies is given to qualified Indian applicants in accordance with the Indian Preference Act (Title 2 U.S. Code, Section 472 and 473) and the Indian Self Determination Act, Public Law 93-638, provided the applicant has submitted acceptable proof of Indian preference for employment, which is to accompany the application if you are claiming Indian Preference. NOTICE OF DRUG-FREE WORKPLACE ACT REQUIREMENTS:

RSBCIHI has adopted a Drug-Free and Alcohol-Free Workplace Policy, in part, to satisfy its obligations under the Drug Free Workplace Act of 1988. It is unlawful for any employee to manufacture, distribute, dispense, possess or use a controlled substance in the workplace. In addition, RSBCIHI must be notified within five (5) calendar days of any criminal drug statute conviction for a violation occurring in the workplace. Employees who are suspected of violating RSBCIHI’s Drug-Free and Alcohol-Free Policy may be required to submit to an inspection of their person, vehicle or personal property. This may include medical testing for alcohol and/or drug use.

MEDICAL DIRECTOR
Department: Medical

Location: San Manuel clinic (Grand Terrace, CA)
 
The Medical Director is responsible for all activities within the Medical Department, and also functions as a staff physician. Applicant must have a minimum of two years experience in medical management in an ambulatory care patient setting. Must be Board Certified in Family Practice or Internal Medicine. A current California Medical License and DEA License are required. Must be able to work with the Indian Community and be sensitive to the Indian Culture and its needs.   
 
 
 
 
 
STAFF PHYSICIAN: FAMILY PRACTICE

Location: San Manuel clinic (Grand Terrace, CA)
               
Must have two years experience in an ambulatory care patient setting. M.D. or D.O. Degree, current California Medical License, current DEA License, American Board of Family Practice Certification and current CPR certification required. Must be able to work a variable schedule including evenings and weekends to meet the program needs. Must be able to work with the Indian Community, and be sensitive to the Indian Culture and its needs.
 
 
 
 
PUBLIC HEALTH NURSE

Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing from accredited School of Nursing. Must possess a current California Nursing License and Public Health Nurse Certificate. Must possess a valid California driver's license and safe driving record. Must be able to work a variable schedule including evenings and weekends to meet the program needs. Must be able to work with the Indian Community and be sensitive to the Indian Culture and needs.  
 
 
 
 
RN CHARGE NURSE

Graduate of a NLN Accredited School of Nursing. Current California License as a Registered Nurse, and current CPR certification. Experience with computerized medical management system desirable. Two years experience in ambulatory care, urgent care, or similar setting. One-year supervisory experience. Must be able to work a variable schedule to meet client and program needs. Must be able to work with the Indian Community and be sensitive to the Indian Culture and its needs.  
 
 
 
 PARENT PARTNER/HOME VISITOR

Applicant must possess a high school diploma or equivalent. Position provides support and assistance in strengthening the parent-child relationship. Minimum of two years experience working in child development or a home visiting setting. Certificate in Medical Assisting a plus. Must be able to work a variable schedule to meet client and Program needs. Must be able to work with the Indian Community and be sensitive to the Indian Culture and its needs.
 
 
 
 
REGISTERED DIETITIAN/PUBLIC HEALTH NUTRITIONIST
Department: Nutrition/WIC

Location: Soboba clinic (San Jacinto, CA)
               
Applicant must possess a Bachelor of Science degree in Food and Nutrition. This individual will be responsible for teaching nutrition based and cooking classes to all age groups with the ability to create programs in reducing obesity and its related diseases. Knowledge and experience in working with the WIC program and in menu writing. Some travel is required must be able to work with the Indian Community, and be sensitive to the Indian Culture and its needs.   
 
 
 
 
 
STAFF DENTIST- FLOATER

Graduate of an accredited Dental school. Dental Licensure in the State of CA. Applicant must have at least 2 years experience/training beyond the undergraduate level. At least 1 year of this must be either professional practice experience, in addition must give evidence of good knowledge of current principles, practices, methods and techniques in dentistry. Applicant will work with various types of patients from the young to the elderly. Must be able to work with the Indian Community and be sensitive to the Indian Culture and its needs.   
 
 
 
 
 
OPTICIAN- FLOATER

Applicant must possess a high school diploma or equivalent. Position works under the direction of Optometrist and assists in daily optical functions. Must have a minimum of three years experience as an Optometric Assistant in both front office and back lab. Must be able to work with the Indian Community and be sensitive to the Indian Culture and its needs.
